In the early 2010s, if you wanted to read anesthesia or sleepy stories, one of the main places on the web was Yahoo Groups. On that "message board", one of the best writers was DNSister, who wrote stories about historical dental gassing in the 1960s United Kingdom. This story is very much a tribute to those old tales and internet history, in ways that will be obvious to anyone who's read them. Well, I finished something before Halloween this year, although it wasn't what I expected. I basically always decline collaborations. But sometimes, when I'm super stuck, like I have been for a while, one thing that will sometimes shake me loose is other people writing. This time, it was @HelpYouSleep 's SSU stories; an increasing number of chapters of not-too-dark sleepy stories set in a university/grad school/med school.
